Antaeus is an annual journal that publishes significant new results in Hungarian and international archaeology and related fields in both English and German. Contributions should be concise and precise, avoiding any unnecessary verbosity.
Ethics statement
Everyone involved in the publication of Antaeus — authors, journal editors, reviewers, and the publisher — must adhere to the standards of expected ethical behavior.
Manuscript
The Editorial Board of Antaeus decides whether to publish the submitted manuscripts with the help of an external reviewer. Translators proficient in the relevant foreign language prepare and review translations. We only accept manuscripts in electronic form. Please note that the Institute of Archeology of the HUN-REN Research Centre of the Humanities is unable to pay a fee for the manuscripts.
Format, structure
The journal is published in A4 format with text in a single column, footnotes at the bottom of the page. Drawings, photographs, tables, and graphs edited within the text or in tables.
Proofreading
The initial proofreading of the studies will be sent to the authors in PDF format. Please send the author's corrections back in PDF format by the specified deadline. Don't forget to include your email address so that we can send the version to be proofread.
Offprint
The authors will receive a free PDF copy of their study, allowing for unrestricted distribution.
